UTC Water Treatment Services for Chilled, High Temperature and Hot Water Treatment

Provide water treatment on the campus of the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga for a closed- loop chilled water(CHW) system, a closed- loop High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) system, multiple closed-loop hot water systems within buildings, and campus cooling towers. The CHW system consists of four 1500 ton chillers located in the campus Central Energy Plant, a campus-wide underground piping distribution network, and chilled water piping within most campus buildings. The HTHW system consists of four HTHW generators located in the Central Energy Plant, a campus-wide underground piping distribution network, and heat exchangers located in most campus buildings. Within these buildings, closed- loop hot water systems carry heated water from the heat exchangers to building air handlers and other air distribution devices. There are two cooling towers located at the Central Energy Plant and three cooling towers in campus buildings not connected to the campus distribution networks.
