Description | Fitchburg State University, the Awarding Authority, invites quotes from General Contractors for 23XRV VFD REPLACEMENT, Bid 270- 23, Antonucci Science Complex. All questions must be submitted in writing to Kathryn Campbell @ kcampbell@ fitchburgstate.edu by 5:00pm on April 5, 2023. Answers will be provided in an Addendum. Prime/General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the categories of work: General Building Construction. Prevailing Wages apply to this work and must be posted at the job site. The scope of the work, without limiting the generality thereof, shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supervision to remove and replace the VFD at the Antonucci Science Complex. A crane will be needed to remove the old VFD and install a new VFD. ESTIMATED COST: The estimated cost of this work is $69,000. 1. Perform Jobsite safety check 2. Transfer refrigerant charge to condenser 'Assumes installed isolation valves are properly functioning 3. Lockout tagout procedure for hazardous energy sources 4. Disconnect control wiring to prepare the drive for removal 5. Remove the current VFD from the machine 6. Mobilize and set crane on Pearl Street to rig new VFD to roof & mechanical room then remove failed VFD. 7. Rig/set and install new VFD on Machine 8. Connect control wiring from LF II Drive to Carrier Control Platform 9. Provide engineering support for necessary VFD installation 10. Remove lockout tag(s) 11. Program the carrier control Platform & New VFD 12. Perform Start-Up of centrifugal chiller 13. Log the operating conditions of the machine 14. Provide customer detailed report of completed work 15. All work shall conform with Local and State Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Regulations and Codes 16. All work shall be performed to the satisfaction of the University Representative. |
