| Description | The work covered by this specification consists of overall maintenance for the Gilmore-Sarpy Ave Green Infrastructure Facility (Sarpy Ave GI). The existing creek (ephemeral drainage) continually flows through channel and out of outlet control structure low flow opening. During storm events, the basin detains storm flows and reduces peak flow in the downstream sewer system. After storm events, the basin will draw down within 48 hours. There are 4 pocket wetlands in the basin with a sinuous low-flow channel between them. Flows travel from the south to the north. Wetlands will maintain shallow water levels unless extreme drought conditions exist. Graded access with aggregate maintenance road and soil stabilization was added to facilitate maintenance of the structure. |
