Description | The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, material, electrical power, and traffic control to complete the required cleaning and television inspection of approximately 215,000 lineal feet of sanitary sewer and 150,000 lineal feet of storm sewer. The contractor should take note that some of the sanitary and storm sewers are located in easements. The contractor shall possess the necessary equipment and expertise to clean and televise sewers that are located in ravines or adjacent to the Fox River if required. A representative from the Department of Public Works will be made available to locate manholes in easements if the contractor fails to locate these manholes. The contractor shall notify the engineering technician prior to initiating any off-road work that will cause rutting and disturbance by cleaning and televising equipment. The contractor shall be responsible for restoration of all disturbed areas. The work also consists of cleaning and televising inspection of approximately 1,000 lineal feet of 6-8” mini storm sewer. The work includes the televising of 45 storm and/or sanitary laterals. The contractor shall have access to the equipment necessary to perform televising of laterals in manholes or mains less than 24” in size. |
