Description | Provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to furnish and deliver a 1,750-kW generator. Successful bidder is responsible for delivery, off-loading and placing generator at customer site. The generator will be installed by another Contractor. This generator will be completed and tested at a separate time and will require individual start-up testing and inspections. Start-up testing and inspections are anticipated to be completed upon completion and installation of the generator. Questions regarding this bid should be in writing and should reference the above Bid. Submit all questions to Carlos Baez, Sr. Procurement Analyst, via email at carlosbaez@polk-county.net or via fax at (863) 534-6789 by 4:00 p.m.; Thursday, July 22, 2022 If a bond is required, it will be called out in the Special Conditions section of the bid. The vendor shall furnish a performance and payment bond, in an amount equal to the amount awarded, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all the vendor's obligations under the bid documents. The bond shall remain in effect at least until one year after the date when final payment becomes due, except as provided otherwise by Laws or Regulations or by the bid documents. In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section the Contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States (in the case of work done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory), for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section. The Procurement Director reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or waive any minor irregularities in the bids received, whichever would be in the best interest of the County. |
