Description | Base Bid Approximately: 855 CuYd Remove, Salvage, and Stockpile of Existing Granular Material; 350 CuYd of Unclassified Excavation; 1,000 CuYd of Scarify & Recompact; 6200 SqYd of Geotextile Separator Fabric, 855 CuYd of Placement of Salvaged Granular Material; 1,000 Ton of Crushed Concrete to be Blended with Salvage Gravel Material; 160 SqFt of 8" Reinforced Concrete Pavement 240 SqFt of 6" Reinforced Concrete Valley Gutter, 1 Storm Sewer Manhole; 20 feet of 12" Storm Piping; 200 feet of 8" Storm Piping; 400 feet of 6" Perforated Underdrain Piping; 230 tons of Sand for Underdrain Bedding; 3 Roof drain Connections; Misc. Tees, Bends, Cleanouts and Fittings for Storm Piping and other miscellaneous items of related construction Alternate Bid #1 Approximately: 55 CuYd of Unclassified Excavation; 50 CuYd of Scarify & Recompact; 40 SqYd of Geotextile Separator Fabric; 40 CuYd of Placement of Salvaged Granular Material, 70 Ton of Crushed Concrete to be Blended with Salvaged Gravel Material; 80 SqFt of 6" Reinforced Concrete Valley Gutter; 120 Feet of Concrete Curb and Gutter; and other miscellaneous items of related construction. The approximate quantities mentioned above are subject to increase or decrease. It will be agreed by bidders that all quantities of work will be performed in accordance with the provisions of the plans and specifications and at the unit price bid. Bidders agree to furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete all the work as shown in the plans and specifications. The complete set of Contract Documents, including 11" x 17" paper drawings and specifications, is on file with the City of Faulkton or at the office of Helms and Associates, 416 Production Street N., Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401. Additionally, upon request, in accordance with South Dakota Codified Law 5-18B-1, one copy of Plans and Specifications shall be furnished, without charge, to each Contractor resident in South Dakota who intends, in good faith, to bid upon the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Faulkton School; or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. Bids may be held by the City of Faulkton; for a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders and completing financial arrangements prior to awarding the Work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. |
