Description | This Invitation for Bids ("IFB" or "solicitation") is soliciting Bids from qualified Entities for grass mowing, edging, trimming, and trash cleanup services for various sites and locations.City Schools serves the needs of public education in Baltimore City, covering approximately 77 square miles, with a residential population of more than 646,000. It is the fourth largest public school system in the State of Maryland. City Schools operates 156 facilities over a ten-mile radius, which includes Pre-k, elementary, middle, and high schools as well as special education centers and alternative schools. The Central administration headquarters is located at 200 East North Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. City Schools is governed by the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners ("Board"), which has 10 members (including a student member). The Board is appointed by the Mayor of Baltimore. The Board sets and oversees policy and implementation of regulations for the school system and approves all major appointments. The City Schools Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board.
