3rd Street SE and Rock Island Road Intersection Improvements

Site Directions: Intersection of 3rd Street SE & Rock Island Road The Engineers estimated range of probable cost is $1,250,000 to $1,450,000. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. The major items of work include sawcutting; excavating and pavement removal; placing cement concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, and curb ramps; HMA paving; installing traffic signal system poles, conduits, junction boxes, signal heads, and other equipment; pavement marking; Park and Ride reconstruction; and traffic control. All work shall be completed in accordance with the contract plans, special provisions, and the 2022 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. Time for completion of the work is limited to 95 total working days. All work performed on the project will be subject to prevailing state wage rates. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid proposal. Checks shall be made payable to The City of East Wenatchee. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of East Wenatchee. The City of East Wenatchee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. Contractor shall assure to City of East Wenatchee that all services provided through this contract shall be completed in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board, Federal Register 36 CFR Parts 1190 and 1191, Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities; Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Accessibility Guidelines; proposed rule, published in the Federal Register on July 23, 2004. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
