Camelback Bridge Repairs

The project is located on Virginia Avenue, beginning approximately 130 feet East of the intersection with Hillcrest Street, extending 120 feet eastward, including Camelback Bridge (existing Structure No. 057-7821) which carries Virginia Avenue over Constitution Trail. The project work consists of removing and replacing all cross-bracing rods and turnbuckles at piers, retrofitting the top of all pier columns to shed water, removing and replacing concrete encasement at Piers No. 3 and 4 to extend the top of concrete above grade, replacing the missing expansion joint filler in retaining walls, cleaning and painting existing painted structural steel, metal railing, and new structural steel, resurfacing the timber bridge deck and bridge approach pavement, and repairing timber bridge railing and steel backed timber guardrail, and all necessary incidental work
