Description

The scope of work is for performing concrete grinding at various locations throughout the City of Ashland to eliminate sidewalk trip hazards and includes:Grinding of Concrete Trip Hazard 0.25" up to 1.00" for 116 EACH grinds and Grinding of Concrete Trip Hazard 1.01" up to 2.00" for 38 EACH grinds throughout the City of Ashland to reduce tripping hazards. A total of 154 grinds will be performed at 128 identified locations. Locations will be identified, and the contractor will be provided with an approximate height and description of the trip hazard. A bid item will be included for grinding heights over 1-inch and grinding heights under 1-inch as shown in bidding documents The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each BIDDER must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No BIDDER may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All Contractors questions regarding this project must be in writing and e-mailed to scole@ashlandky.gov or faxed to 606-385-3333 at least 5 days prior to the bid date
