Description

1. The Project consists of extending Bryant Farms Road from Elm Lane to Rea Road, approximately 2800 linear feet. 2. The Project will improve the intersection of Elm Lane, Blakeney Heath Road and Bryant Farms Road with a roundabout and provide signalized intersections at Rea Road and Bryant Farms Road. 3. The Project will include a two-lane road with curb and gutter, 8-foot planting strip and a 12-foot multiuse path for pedestrian and bicycle facilities, streetlights, and landscape buffers in selected areas 4. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has acknowledged the merits of an east bound left turn lane on Bryant Farms Road and north bound left turn lane on Rea Road for a signalized intersection. See Exhibit 3. 5. The Design-Builder shall propose a qualified, local team to provide real estate services to acquire permanent and temporary easements and provide any relocation services necessary to complete the construction proposed by the Design-Builder. 1. Propose a team with suitable qualifications and capacity to complete professional surveys, plat preparations, appraisals, review appraisals, title and closing services. 2. The Design Builder’s proposed Real Estate Team shall have the qualifications to assist the City Real Estate Department and City Attorney’s Office to complete Condemnation requests made by the City Real Estate Acquisition Manager to City Council and the Courts. 3. Condemnation legal services shall be managed by the City. The Design Build team will not handle Condemnation legal services. 4. The Design Build team shall provide testament and documentation requested by the City. 5. The scope of real estate services is dependent upon the design developed by the DesignBuilder. 6. The Design-Builder shall provide real estate services according to the Real Estate Acquisition Management Plan (RAMP) the Design-Builder prepares as described in Exhibit 2, Real Estate Services. 7. Pursuant the City’s approval and acceptance of the RAMP, either the City or Design-Builder may propose Real Estate Services as an Early Work Package, according to Article 2.4.4 of the Draft Agreement Document 535 in Exhibit 5
