Description

A summary of the work items is included below: The work includes the installation of approximately 1,200 linear feet of 8-inch diameter water transmission main. All pipe will be Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP). The contract to be bid will include restrained joint fittings, isolation valves, bored roadway crossings, and connections to existing system. The work of constructing the project will be let under one Contract if an award should be made; and the Owner reserves the right to select the Bid considered by the Owner to be in the best interest of the Owner. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Anniston Water Works and Sewer Board, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.
