69KV Hess Substation Deadend and Metering Addition

The Work is for the procurement of materials and construction of a new 69kV deadend structure, metering stand, and metering equipment for the relocation of their 69kV AEP interconnect at this substation, a new 20’ double-swing gate in the substation fence, and the removal of an existing lighting mast. The following major equipment will be procured and installed by the contractor: structures, bussing and switches and three 69kV combination metering units. The contractor shall furnish all labor to install the contractor furnished equipment; and the contractor shall furnish and install all other material and labor to provide for a complete substation addition. The AEP owned 69kV transmission line that currently serves the substation is being modified, which will include a new switch pole inside the substation fence to serve the substation at the new deadend structure. AEP will be responsible for this work, including supplying materials and labor for the tap from the AEP switch to the City’s new 69kV deadend structure.
