Sub Bid Category Fire Protection Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate PROJECT ADDRESS: Webster Avenue & Library Place Woburn, MA 01801 The Woburn Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Fire Alarm System Replacement at 200-2 Webster Avenue Development and Fire Pump Replacement at the 667-4 Library Place Development for the Woburn Housing Authority in Woburn Massachusetts . The Project consists of: Replacement/addition of smoke alarms to dwelling units, added fire and carbon monoxide protection to boiler rooms at Webster Avenue and replacement of fire pump and addition of double check valve assembly. The work is estimated to cost $ 228,970.00 The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women. Completion- 120 consecutive calendar days. 1. Obtain all permits and approvals. (a) Permit fees are waived by the City of Woburn. 2. Smoke alarm replacement and addition at Webster Avenue development dwelling units, including: (a) Replacement of existing smoke alarms at each dwelling unit level, connected to existing wiring and mounted on existing outlet boxes, (b) New smoke alarm added to each bedroom, including flush outlet box and concealed wiring to existing smoke alarm outlet box, (c) Replacement of circuit breaker with AFCI circuit breaker at each dwelling unit existing loadcenter, (d) Provision of new heat alarm and carbon monoxide alarm with exterior notification at each boiler room, (e) Provision of signage at each boiler room exterior notification appliance. 3. Fire pump replacement at Library Place development. 4. All required fire protection work associated with work noted above. 5. All electrical work associated with work noted above. 6. Testing, training, commissioning, and demonstration of all systems; 7. Record Drawings; 8. Operation and Maintenance Instruction and Manuals; 9. Warranty. 10. All Work either shown on the drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done.
