Public Works Building Demolition and Abatement

Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as City of Scotts Valley Public Works Building Demolition and Abatement. Companies with demonstrated experience in demolition and with an interest in making their services available to The City of Scotts Valley are invited to respond to this RFP. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate of the bid. The check or bond shall be made payable to the order of the City of Scotts Valley. Bids will be considered for award by the Scotts Valley City Council. The City of Scotts Valley reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City. WITHDRAWAL OF PROPOSALS: Any bid may be withdrawn at any time prior to the time fixed in the public notice for the opening of bids only by written request for the withdrawal of the bid filed with the Public Works Director. The request shall be executed by the bidder or his/her duly authorized representative. The withdrawal of a bid does not prejudice the right of the bidder to file a new bid. Whether or not bids are opened exactly at the time fixed in the public notice for opening bids, a bid will not be received after that time nor may any bid be withdrawn after the time fixed in the public notice for opening of bids, except as authorized by law. liquidated damages sum of one thousand, five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) per day
