Vanacore Track Reconstruction Project

The General Description and project specifications apply to the replacement of a 42-year-old track with six-lanes around and an 8-lane straight away at the Vanacore Track Facility located at the North Haven Middle School, 55 Bailey Road in North Haven, Connecticut. The project will also include tree removal, demolition, earthwork, drainage, chain link fencing, concrete work, asphalt and concrete paving, track surfacing, track and field equipment, scoreboard, sports field lighting, loaming, seeding, sodding, and tree plantings. The Contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to: maintaining overall site conditions, maintenance and protection of traffic, installing and maintaining erosion control measures, excavation and removal of soils in area of proposed grading and regrading, management, and disposal, back fill and formation of subgrades, and reestablishment of surface conditions.
