DEM - Improvements to East Hawaii Sort Station - Hawaii County

The East Hawaii Sort Station is now being used on a daily basis since the SHSL permanently closed in NOV 2019. Due to daily usage, the operation reinforced concrete floor will need to be replaced. In order for the concrete floor to be replaced, a second load out bay will need to be constructed. once the second load out bay is constructed, the existing load out bay will be refurbished and upgraded Project will also included upsizing the leachate system and individual wastewater system. This project is in included in the county's FY 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of August 30, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
