The Coile Apartments

Project addresses are 311 33rd Street, Newport News, VA and 100 29th Street, Newport News, VA. Project scope consists of but is not limited to site work and construction of 2 five-story apartment buildings on separate sites with podiums on the ground levels (parking). The roof of each building will be provided with amenities to include a green roof, paver system for walking and standing, vegetative areas, landscape planters, seating and trellis. Site 1 (33rd Street) includes 31 residential units with a community room over ground level parking. Site 1 (33rd Street) is designed to be constructed with Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). Site 2 (29th Street) is designed to be framed with Fire Retardant Treated Wood (FRT); the perimeter subfloor at each wood-framed floor needs to be Fire Retardant Treated material. Trades include but are not limited to: Earthwork, landscaping, concrete, unity pavers, gypcrete, masonry, misc metals, aluminum railings, carpentry, insulation, waterproofing, caulking, siding, roofing, doors, vinyl windows, storefront, drywall. flooring, paint, cabinetry, countertops, elevators, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Ownership is looking for VE ideas for this project.
