Landslide Stabilization On The Forests

The contractor shall use the soil nailing technology to repair 6 slides in various locations on the forests. Each project will have a specific timeline in which the work may be performed and may require that the Contractor be able to provide workers equipment and materials to multiple sites to complete the work within the stated time windows. The process to stabilize the slides above and below the roadway will require the driving of “nails” and bolts into the slopes along with mesh to stabilize the side slopes. Grout may be required to finish the slopes on some project sites. The work will also require the restoration of the travel way width. Other technologies that may be used include micropiles in the roadbed to stabilize the roadbed and basket to restore width.
