Description | Demolition requirement for B5123. B5123 on Camp Bullis in the Cantonment area has collapsed and requires the entirety of the structure to be demolished/removed as Regulated Asbestos Containing Materials (RACM). A certified asbestos consultant shall develop a work plan and monitor the affected area for any releases of visible and airborne asbestos emissions, ensure wet methods are being implemented to comply with the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), 40 CFR 61.145, subpart M, Demolition/Renovation. A construction fence around the entire site, area will need to be excavated and hauled by a licensed asbestos transporter.. All debris removal processes will need to be monitored by a competent NESHAP certified person. Team will establish PPE requirements and conduct Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) personnel monitoring throughout the complete abatement process. All soil transported from the site will require a Toxic Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) for Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) metals. All debris and soil shall be manifested and signed by the 802 CES, JBSA Environmental Office. Construction fences around the area |
