Description | The Town of Lincoln will accept bids for Site Improvements - Codman Community Farm located at Codman Community Farm, 58 Codman Road, Lincoln, MA 01773. Estimated construction costs - $91,000 The Town of Lincoln reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is found to be in the Town's best interest to do so. The Town of Lincoln also reserves the right to waive any minor informalities. Should there be any questions regarding this Invitation for Bid please submit them in writing to Scott Murphy, Hayner/Swanson, Inc. at smurphy@hayner-swanson.com no later than Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Any addendums to this bid will be posted no later than Friday April 21, 2023, at 5:00 PM. It will be the responsibility of each bidder to check for any addendums. Whether a bidder is responsible will be determined through reference checks, information in the bid documents, qualifications established through previous experience, and other resources available to the Town. The review may include consideration of past projects made known to the Town which are not on the Bidder's list of references. The Town reserves the right to request additional information from bidders during the review of whether bidders are responsible. The review may include consideration of the bidder's staffing, equipment and current workload. The Town will request the qualifications of the Superintendent to be assigned to the work as well The Contractor shall be fully aware that this project is extremely detail oriented, and that a representative of the Town will frequently be on-site for observation of the ongoing work. Neither observation of the work in progress nor partial payment for any aspect of the work will constitute acceptance of the work. The Contractor shall be singularly responsible to assure that the work is in accordance with all contract requirements. All work items including, but not limited to construction and grading of forecourt area, walking paths, and protection of trees shall be performed in strict accordance with the intent of the plans and specifications. Contractors shall bid this project accordingly. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, a certified check, a treasurer's check, or a cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Lincoln. The amount of such bid deposit shall be five percent (5%) of the value of the bid assuming the quantities projected in this specification. |
