AHU10 Coil Replacement at Allegheny County Jail

A. Work Summary: The AHU10 Coil Replacement project is defined by the Construction Documents and Specifications. A general summary of Work is as follows: Prepare project site for a clean and safe installation. Jail operators to isolate and drain down coil. Disconnect and remove existing piping servicing existing cooling coil. Place caps on open ends of pipe to eliminate possibility of water damage while replacement occurs. Remove OEM cooling coils from unit. Remove flashing on outside of unit where coils get replaced and measure up new pieces to be fabricated. Remove any internal flashing around coils and measure up pieces that are missing so they can be installed when coils are replaced. Coil disposal by county. New coils needs to be four pieces that meet design specifications. Coil inlet and discharge must align with existing piping. New coil must fit within existing unit enclosure. Repair leak in piping connection and replace the insulation. Demo two (2) existing coils in AHU-10 and remove from site. Furnish and install new coil arrangement for AHU-10 that meet original design specifications, including any necessary modifications to drip pan and associated drain piping in between top and bottom coils. Reinstall all necessary flashing pieces around the coils, install flat metal flashing on the outside of the unit on both sides where coil is located. Last Day for Questions: Monday, March, 13, 2023 , 3:00 P.M., E.T. Questions received after this date and time may not be answered by the County. All questions must be submitted through Bonfire Replacement of the coils in Air Handling Unit #10 at the Allegheny County Jail. Question Deadline 03/15/2023 at 3:00 PM ET
