Description | Chehalis Substation Drain and Outfall Replacement - BPA Chehalis Substation Roof Drains: design/build services to inspect, present findings provide design and construction services to clean out and repair all internal drain lines, to locate and map connection to storm drains, and to repair the storm drain system and out falls as required to restore normal draining of the Untanking Tower roofs. The procurement method will be design/build, consisting of two phases: Phase I: Investigate & discovery, review findings and vendor proposal for repair. BPA to agree to vendor solution. Phase II: Execute design and construction Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, material supplies and supervision and be responsible for the appearance and satisfactory completion of the work. The work includes but is not limited to: Phase I: Cleaning, Inspection and Discovery Services of Storm System connected to roof downspouts: - Verify existing pertinent information and current onsite conditions. Including existence/condition of culvert at main entrance. - Clean, vacuum, and jet rodding storm drain system. - Videotaping storm drain system and documenting the results - Verify elevations of joints (catch basins, clean outs and manholes) inverts. - Cleaning catch basins, manholes, culverts, outfalls and ditches (inside and outside the substation) to provide positive flow. - Provide report and drawings that show location of blockages, crushed or broken pipes and proposed solutions. Include proposed layout, materials and equipment. |
