Description

The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials and labor necessary to complete the flooring, baseboard, and paint project for Quarters #107 at Katherine Landing, Arizona. Project includes removing all the carpet, old floor tile (approximately 24 square feet), vinyl flooring, old baseboards, and removing the popcorn ceiling texture. Install new ceramic 16 inch tiles (tan in color) throughout the whole house, 4 inch high white solid baseboard, repaint all interior walls, and retexture the interior ceiling to standard knockdown texture (beside the kitchen and both bathrooms ceilings). The work consists of, but not limited to, supplying and installing approximately 1,120 square feet of new 16 inch ceramic tiles, installing approximately 248 linear feet of 4 inch high white solid baseboard, retexturing approximately 805 square feet interior ceiling, and painting interior walls. (Note that these measurements are estimates only. It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of their measurements) The contractor shall remove the two bathroom toilets before installing the new tile and shall reinstall the toilets with new wax rings when the new tile is installed. The new baseboard shall be painted to a semi-gloss white paint before installation and shall be caulked on the top and bottom. Interior walls and ceiling shall be prepared properly before painting. The interior walls shall be painted with an eggshell type paint. The ceiling will be a standard knockdown texture and the paint shell be a flat. The specification of the paint is listed below. Remove all debris from project site and legally dispose of them into a landfill or incinerator. All furniture and appliances shall be removed by contractor before work begins. Housing unit shall be cleaned by contractor upon completion of construction. All work shall be completed on site. The contractor may use the garage as a staging area for tools, equipment and materials. The location of the work is flat and graded. Prior to the Notice to Proceed, the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) shall review product/material/paint information.
