Description | The resurfacing of Fenn Road from US-42 (Pearl Road) to SR-3 (Weymouth Road) as detailed in the Bid Documents. The Engineer's estimate is $994,543.30. No contract shall be awarded at a price more than ten percent in excess of the Engineer's estimate. The Contractor shall have all work completed no later than AUGUST 18, 2023. Each bidder shall be required to file a bid guaranty with the bid in the form of either:(1)a Bid/ Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid; or (2) a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder shall, if his bid is accepted, execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. A letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of the County. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and throughout the life of the construction contract. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements detailed in the Bid Documents shall be required.All bidders must comply with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization requirements that apply to this contract. The requirements are detailed in item 24 of ODOT's LPA Template - Required Contract Provisions included in the Bid Documents. Contractors and Subcontractors must comply with the prevailing wage rates requirements detailed in the Bid Documents. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Medina County Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids. |
