Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, including the Base Bid and all additive Alternate Bids. Bid security may be in the form of cashier's check, certified check, money order, or bid bond Successful bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Sum. The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of all Work by Monday, January 6, 2025. Substantial Completion for the Project is defined as: 1. Work in classrooms, restrooms, and occupied spaces complete to a point that allows the spaces to be occupied and used for their intended purposes. 2. Existing mechanical units not switched over to new systems may remain in space with associated completion of patched finishes to be completed when new units arrive. 3. Mechanical systems operable in the space (new, existing, or combination). 4. Electrical systems operable in the space. 5. Fire sprinkler system fully operable. 6. Fire alarm system and devices fully operable, without faults on the system. 7. First day for students Monday, August 12, 2024.
