Description

Contractor will conduct pre-and post-placement condition surveys for each section. The (SR-1) Bridge is a major 6-lane, high-level crossing over the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal that carries more than 33 million vehicles (including 3 million of trucks) each year. Currently the bridge is experiencing delamination of the overlay in multiple areas across entire length of both the southbound and northbound lanes. The current damage can be seen at all joints across the bridge and recent soundings have indicated additional deterioration areas.
