Description | Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, including alternates, must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Bid Security shall be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check which shall be payable to the Board of Commissioners of Johnson County, Indiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price prior to the execution of contracts. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject and bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for period not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) days before awarding contracts. This contract is subject to Federal Award compliance. An awarded written contract must include or incorporate by reference the provisions required under 2 C.F.R Section 200.326 and as provided for under 2 C.F.R. Part 200, Appendix II applicable under the American Rescue Plan Act. All bidders must comply with all state and federal contract regulations In addition to anti-discrimination policies and in the interest in providing competitive and transparent contract opportunities to a board, diverse network of suppliers in the Johnson County Area, the County is committed to contract with Disadvantaged, Women, and Minority Business Enterprises where feasible. In that spirit, a successful bidder also agrees in good faith to promote the participation of Disadvantaged, Women, and Minority Business Enterprises, as both prime contractors and subcontractors within their bid where available and practical. |
