Parking Improvements at 160 North Causeway (AOB Site)

Qualified site development contractor to coordinate and perform needed site improvements for boat trailer parking needs on a site that is currently vacant land. This project is located on the south side of the North Causeway, just east of Riverside Drive in the City of New Smyrna Beach. This site was the City of New Smyrna’s Wastewater Treatment Facility that was built in the early 1960s. This site was demolished in 2004, and the demolition contract scope stopped 12” below grade. The following is a general description of the work required and not intended to be all-inclusive: The scope of work includes; survey staking, clearing of non-historic trees, grading, installation of stormwater exfiltration system, hauling and placement of crushed concrete to define new driveway aisles, fence relocation, concrete placement for handicap parking space, sidewalk connectivity and landscape restoration. The project involves, but not limited to, the removal of non-historic trees, most of the existing asphalt on the west lot, and relocation of some utilities. Driving aisles and parking areas will be constructed with 6” crushed concrete in order to provide a combination of Auto/Trailer parking spaces and Auto parking spaces. The existing drainage system will be flushed and cleaned, including the existing wet pond.
