Main St, Nixa, MO 65714 QUESTIONS/INQUIRIES: E-mail all inquiries for information to the following: kevinkopp@nixaschools.net I. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Sealed Request for Bid/Proposal (SRFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified sources (hereafter referred to as Vendor) to establish a purchase price through competitive bidding for providing District with items listed in V. BID PROPOSAL ITEMS below. II. GOVERNING RULES: This solicitation is issued in accordance with the provisions of Board Policy DJF PURCHASING. III. BACKGROUND: Nixa Public Schools is a public school district organized and existing pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri. IV. PERIOD OF PURCHASE PRICE: This is a one-time agreement for BID PROPOSAL ITEMS as listed section V. BID PROPOSAL ITEMS in this SRFP. Bid Bond: Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a 5% bid security in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bid bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company. See Instructions to Bidders for more information. Surety/Bonding Company must be acceptable to the Owner and be authorized to transact business in the State of Missouri. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and may waive any or all informalities in the bid process. The Owner's decision regarding the approval/denial of bids are based on various factors such as, but not limited to, quality, time constraints, and service. All decisions will be in the best interest of the district and shall be final. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of Thirty (30) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids. Bidders and any subcontractors must follow and enforce all requirements of Missouri's Prevailing Wage Laws. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Thursday, June 8th, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Espy Elementary School north parking lot at 220 South Gregg Road, Nixa, Missouri 65714, with a tour of the site following the Conference. (Access to the Site will be limited to the day of the Pre-Bid Conference.) It is highly recommended that any Contractor submitting a bid be in attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting due to the complexities of this project. Lack of attendance will be a consideration in evaluation of qualifications and bids and lack of attendance may be cause for rejection of bid. Due to the nature and scope of this work, each bidder shall fully inform him/herself prior to bidding as to existing conditions and limitations under which the Work is to be performed. No allowance will be made to a bidder because of lack of such examination or knowledge. Printed plans and specifications will not be available except through non-refundable purchase. Postage and handling for printed and mailed sets must be arranged and paid for by the receiver. The Company shall have successfully completed projects of similar size and scope. Submission of AIA Form 305, Contractor's Statement of Qualifications shall be submitted with bid. The project consists of construction of an extension to a driveway at the Espy Elementary School Campus. The work consists of, but is not limited to, selective demolition of existing parking lot, site work, new construction of an asphalt driveway and curbs. The project is located on the north end of the existing Espy Elementary School at 220 South Gregg Road, Nixa, Missouri 65714 in Christian County, Missouri. Missouri Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to the work.
