| Description | Construction of the electrical work associated with temporary generator provisions for the Boiler Plant at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. generally described as adding a manual transfer switch with a drawout circuit breaker on the normal side for a temporary generator for the Boiler Plant service, along with removing the existing 1600A main circuit breaker in the existing switchboard and reworking the switchboard bus bars so that the switchboard becomes a main-lugs-only switchboard. The Work also includes providing a conveniently-located tap box for a temporary generator connection and conductors from the new manual transfer switch to the tap-box. A ground rod(s) shall be provided for the generator grounding system. Also, the Work includes re-routing the two standby power feeders through the main switchboard serving the fuel oil pump skid and a step-down transformer. | ||
