SZB-2nd & 5th Floor Renovation

The UT College of Education is proposing a building renovation on the 2nd and 5th floors of SZB that will consolidate student-focused services and amenities at the main entry of the second floor, creating a welcoming and visible entry for the ‘one stop shop’ of student advising, counseling, and IT help desk as well as a new student lounge for collaboration. The creation of the student lounge and student services center will center the work of students, providing collaborative spaces for academic learning and ready access to the services students need. The project will also create a centralized and flexible research space that will accommodate externally funded research projects and will help recruit nationally prominent researchers/faculty. Finally, the project will consolidate and update spaces with similar programmatic functions in an efficient manner including the Dean’s Office, Meadows Center, and assessment and educational counseling services.

Division 23 -	Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Instrumentation and Control for HVAC, HVAC Air Distribution.
Division 26 -	Electrical, Lighting.
