Description | Scarifying and reshaping approximately 1,365 square yards of the existing base course and asphalt surface and installing approximately 12,270 square feet of a 7' wide concrete walking trail, lighting along the trail and two (2) exercise stations including three fitness equipment units per station. Scarifying and reshaping approximately 1,940 square yards of the existing base course and asphalt surface and installing approximately 17,530 square feet of a 7' wide concrete walking trail, lighting along the trail and three (3) exercise stations including three fitness equipment units per station. All the improvements must be ADA compliant including a cross walk, pedestrian crossing signage and ADA ramps. Refer to contract documents, plans and specifications for additional information. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding the project to ensure the accuracy of the reproduction of all Bid Documents and Construction Drawings. This includes, but is not limited to, proper scaling, paper width and length, etc. Failure to do so may result in errors in the Unit Bid Quantities and or Bids Amounts. Sealed Bids may be submitted either (i) electronically using the CivCast USA ("CivCast") website (www.civcastusa.com), or (ii) via a flash drive delivered in a sealed envelope. Bidders are advised to refer to Request for Bids Section 5 of the bidding documents for a list of required bid submittals. Failure to submit or upload all required documents may result in an irregular or non-responsive bid submittal. The work is to be substantially completed within 160 days. Bidders must submit an acceptable Bid Security with their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the Project with the Owner within 10 days of Notice of Award of the Contract. The security must be payable to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the greatest amount bid. Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check, certified check, money order, or bank draft from a chartered financial institution authorized to operate in the State of Texas. Bidders submitting bids electronically shall scan and upload a copy of the Bid Security as an attachment to their bid. The original Bid Bond, cashier's check, certified check, money order or bank draft must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, plainly identified on the outside as containing bid documents, the bidder's name and the job name and number and delivered as required in this Section.Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check, certified check, money order, or bank draft from a chartered financial institution authorized to operate in the State of Texas.
