Description | 1. Provide caretaker and maintenance of facilities, structures and mechanical systems to sustain caretaker status to prevent damage or deterioration of real property and equipment which includes utilities and real property installed (equipment and appliances) 2. Security services for the twelve (12) buildings and the 47-acre site, to protect against theft of government property and vandalism. Security of the facility is required on a 24/7/365 basis through staffed positions and surveillance of facilities on foot and small powered vehicle patrols. 3. Controlled access - the contractor shall ensure that all personnel who enter the facility shall be issued a badge or identification card. Access is limited to: Contractor personnel performing work under contract; authorized government personnel performing upkeep or repair of facilities or equipment; and personnel approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Other than contractor and official government personnel, contractor shall obtain COR approval prior to granting access to the facility. 4. Develop and maintain effective liaison with local law enforcement and provide protection as necessary to maintain security and safety or the facility. 5. Provide preventive and basic maintenance of heating, ventilation, and other mechanical systems. Contractor shall ensure equipment and systems are operational in unoccupied facilities and preserve warranties should the building were to become occupied. 6. Contractor is responsible for providing grounds maintenance to provide an attractive visual appearance. This includes, but is not limited to: mowing, edge, pruning, and removing plant and lawn residue lawns. Lawn and plant watering will be accomplished using the center's installed irrigation system. 7. Pest control. Pest control will be performed as needed. 8. Custodial services of facilities performed by contractor staff. 9. Act as agent for payment of bills on behalf of the Gainesville Job Corps Center. Bills for services such as utilities will be in U.S. Department of Labor's name. 10. Properly management. Contractor shall receive, identify, inventory, secure and safeguard furniture and equipment using the Job Corps Electronic Property Management System (EPMS). |
