Black River Correction Center Wellhouse 2 and 3 Replacement - State of Wisconsin - Department of Corrections

As of March 16, 2023, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to January 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: CORRECTIONS - BLACK RIVER CORRECTION CENTER, KOMENSKY This project will replace wellhouses 2 and 3. Wellhouse 2 will provide chemical storage and dosing for both wells, water treatment for both wells and domestic water storage. Wellhouse 3 will provide a secure, weather-tight enclosure with minimal temperature control to prevent freezing and provide adequate space for compliant piping and electrical/controls. A new SCADA control system will be installed for the water system and treatment to improve maintainability and record keeping. Other deficiencies and non-conforming conditions on the water system will also be corrected. This project will remove the water equipment in the basement of the main building including the pressure tanks, chemical storage, and chemical dosing equipment.
