Description

DPR Construction is seeking proposals from interested and qualified Mechanical subcontractors (Proposers) to provide preconstruction and construction services for the above-named Project. DPR will select a Mechanical contractor to join our team consisting of DPR Construction, McParlane Engineers and CPC Architects. Selection of the winning Proposer will be based on a Best in Value approach detailed in the following documents. During the design phase the team will expect the awarded mechanical contractor to lead site investigations and provide constructability reviews. The construction phase will consist of the build-out per the project description below. A separate contract will be issued for each phase. The selected Best In Value Mechanical Subcontractor will work with the project team to support the Collaborative Design Build process. The project is proposed to be a design-assist GMP, public works project, consisting of an HVAC upgrade central to the efficiency and operation of the supply/return air to Craven Hall at CSUSM. The HVAC ductwork, chilled water (CHW), heating hot water (HHW) piping, and controls throughout the six-story building will be replaced, as well as the split HVAC systems, CHW/HHW pumps, and the two roof mounted make-up air units. Craven Hall, built in 1992 has approximately 155,000 GSF and houses largely the CSUSM administration. Prior to the construction of this project, occupants will be moved out of the entire building by end of February 2024, allowing for full construction access for the duration of the renovation project. Phase 1 will consist of onsite field investigations and design-assist support through the design and preconstruction of the project (starting now). Phase 2 will consist of the construction of the project (starting in 2024). Bidders must confirm if they are bidding by: Wednesday, August 10, 2022 Contractor License Requirement: C Interviews: To be scheduled the week of September 19, 2022 DPR Point of Contact for Information: Tory Hopkins, toryh@dpr.com, 919 323 0583 .
