Description | The work to be accomplished under the following specifications consists of the drilling, construction, and testing of two supply wells for the Metro Southwest Diablo Village water system in Southwestern Tucson, Arizona. The site is located on Ajo Way south of the Ryan Airfield (Figure 1 of the included Technical Specifications). The proposed drilling locations for supply wells designated as DV-3 and DV-4 are shown on Figure 2 of the included Technical Specifications. The cadastral locations for each well are listed below: DV-03 (15-12)18 BBB DV-04 (15-12)18 CBC The actual drilling sites will be staked by the OWNER prior to mobilization of the drill rig. The anticipated geology of the site is loosely to moderately consolidated basin fill sediments consisting of sands, gravels, silts, and clays. Lithologic logs for nearby exploration borehole Wildflower WP-1 Exploration Borehole are provided in Appendix A of the included Technical Specification. All work is to be completed in 120 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed pursuant to the Construction Documents and Technical Specifications prepared by Clear Creek Associates. Liquidated damages for late delivery will be assessed per the Pima Association of Governments Standard Specifications for Public Improvements, 2015 Edition with Amendments. BID BOND: Bids must be accompanied by an original bid guarantee of ten percent (10%) of the TOTAL BID amount. OWNER accepts the forms of bid guarantee provided in A.R.S. 34-201(A) (3). LICENSING: All bidders must hold a valid license issued by the State of Arizona Registrar of Contractors and maintain same throughout the duration of the contract term. Failure to maintain said license may be grounds for default of the contract and subsequent termination.
