Description

STATEMENT OF NEED: The James J. Peters VA Medical Center anticipates a requirement for load bank testing on seven existing generators. Generators in need of testing include five 600kw/750kva Generac generators, two 2850kw/3250kva GM Electro Motive generators, one 160kw/200kva and one 370kw/462kva Cummins generators. Each generator will require 30-60 minutes of testing at 35, 60 and 85 percent load capacity to assure their potential to provide power at a sufficient level to sustain critical VAMC operations during electric utility power failures. Contractor is required to furnish all labor and equipment to accomplish the task and testing is only permitted on from 5:00pm Friday to 12:00am Saturday. All work should be completed within 30 days and must comply with OSHA safety standards, NFPA 110 and NFPA 70/NEC.
