East Graves Avenue Sidewalks from Orange Avenue to Trafford Avenue

The City of Orange City, Florida is accepting sealed proposals from qualified licensed contractors to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, means and methods as required to construct sidewalks, ramps, and curbs; and markings in accordance with the terms and conditions of the bid documents, plans and specifications. The Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. All permits and inspections as required by Public Works Department and inspection hold points. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining, managing, and clearing all permits associated with the work to be completed. 2. Demolish and disposal sidewalks and curbs; sidewalk ramps, remove markings and relocate post signs. 3. Demolish and rebuilt (re-sloping) the driveways affected by the sidewalk proposed along E. Graves Avenue as necessary. 4. Removal and disposal of trees, palms, shrubs or any other vegetation that interferes with the construction of sidewalks. Include trim shrubs as necessary. 5. Construct 990 square yards of 4 thick concrete sidewalks and 112 square yards of 6 thick concrete sidewalk (over driveways) and sidewalk ramps, approximately. The sidewalk shall have a minimum width of 5 feet with a maximum slope of 2% (.02), and must include detectable warning pads. Concrete strength: 3000 psi; w/c = 0.5 6. Construct 75 lf approximately of Type F curb and gutter, per FDOT Standards. 7. Provide pavement markings, where include crosswalks and stop bars. 8. Repair the asphalt pavement 40 square feet approximately in front of the sidewalk ramp proposed in the intersection of E. Graves Avenue and Edwards Avenue, north side. The City will only consider bids which clearly demonstrate a complete turnkey, lump sum project. The awarded Contractor will be responsible for the construction including any permitting, fees, and inspections through the City Public Works. All work must comply with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Design Standards and Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Constructions and the Orange City Building Code or as specified herein, the documents, drawings, specifications, and references contained in this scope of work. A full Scope is available under Section 6 of the Bid Documents. The objective of the project is to construct sidewalks and sidewalks ramps along E. Graves Avenue from S. Leavitt Avenue to Trafford Avenue in the south side of the road. This project will provide sidewalks and crosswalk markings to improve pedestrian crossing near the school area and the adjacent community
