Description | This work shall include providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the New Cold Storage Facility Project and the associated work shown on the Plans and described in these Specifications. The construction for the new cold storage facility includes, but is not limited to, excavation and new concrete slab-on-grade floor and concrete pier foundations, wood framed column/post and header construction, wood truss roof construction, wood purlin/girt wall and roof framing, exterior metal siding and roofing, man door and sectional overhead door installation, site construction including steel bollards and asphalt pavement, below grade utility/electrical trench excavation and backfilling (Electrical work not included in Contract, all electrical work to be performed by others), mechanical exhaust fan installations and all other related items. Additive Bid Item No.1 - Insulation and interior finish of Storage Room 102 as follows: Full length insulation baffles across the underside of the building roof purlin framing, closed cell Sprayfoam (R-49.0) on the underside of the insulation baffles, closed cell Sprayfoam (R-21.0) on the interior side of the exterior wall framing, interior metal liner panels installed on the underside of the roof trusses, wood framed interior wall girts and interior metal liner panels installed on the interior sides of the exterior walls, kraft faced batt insulation (R-21.0) installed within partition wall type 1 cavity and gypsum wall board with paint finish on the side of Storage Room 102. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Authority prior to incorporation into the work of the Contracts. In accordance with New York State General Municipal Law Section 101 (a.k.a. "Wicks Law"), all Bidders must include with their Bid a separately sealed list naming each Subcontractor for plumbing, HVAC and electrical work along with the amount to be paid to each. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. |
