Solid Waste Computer Aided Earthmover System

To provide a comprehensive computer aided GPS based earthmoving system. This system will be used in compaction and grading works at the Brevard County Landfills. The desired system will provide optimum compaction and grading by continually providing a variety of real-time data (i.e. number of passes, grade and slope information, etc.) to the equipment operator. The resulting benefit of this data is a better utilization of cover soil and a minimization of air space consumption. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a qualified supplier for a new and of current production landfill GPS system to be installed on the five (5) machines at the following two (2) facilities: Site #1: Central Disposal Facility (CDF), 2250 Adamson Rd., Cocoa, FL 32926: Two (2) dozers, one (1) compactor and one (1) office base station to be set up in the Operations Building. Site #2: Sarno Transfer Station (Sarno), 3379 Sarno Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935: One (1) dozer, one (1) compactor and one (1) office base station to be set up in the Transfer Station .
