Description

Western Washington University is soliciting bids to 1) replace the exterior cladding systems and bridges at Stacks 3 and 4 of the Birnam Wood Residential Complex and 2) replace the cladding, windows, and doors at the Birnam Wood Community Center. When the sum of the base bid plus all additive bid alternates is over $25,000.00 a certified check, bank cashier's check or original bid bond, made payable to Western Washington University for an amount equal to at least five (5%) of the total bid, shall accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and give a 100% payment and performance bond. Western Washington University is committed to providing the maximum practicable opportunity for participation by minority and women-owned businesses (MWBE) in public works. Voluntary goals for this project have been established as 10% MBE and 6% WBE. Participation may be either on a direct basis in response to this invitation to bid, or as a subcontractor or supplier. The Architect/Engineers estimate is $3,860,000. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
