Description | Provide Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 engineering services for a federally funded shared use path project. The project consists of a 10 foot wide shared use path approximately 0.29 miles long, along IL Route 4 (N Jefferson Street) and includes the construction of a pedestrian structure. The project will begin at the existing Berm Trail and extend east to IL Route 4 (N Jefferson Street) then turn north and continue along the west side of IL Route 4 (N Jefferson Street) over the existing diversional channel via a new pedestrian structure and continue north to Onyx Drive. The selected firm will be responsible for, but limited to, the following: 1. Topographical and boundary survey of the project area including hydraulic sections in the waterway; 2. Hydrology and hydraulic calculation; 3. Preliminary Bridge Design and Hydraulic Report; 4. Type, Size, and Location (TSL) for the pedestrian structure; 5. Phase I Engineering design for the pedestrian structure and a shared use path along IL Route 4, and Project Development Report (PDR) with required exhibits; 6. Attend IDOT/FHWA coordination meeting; 7. Submit Environmental Survey Request (ESR) to IDOT Bureau of Local Roads; 8. Perform a geotechnical investigation as necessary; 9. Coordinate with utility companies; 10. Perform Phase II engineering design services using federal guidelines and prepare construction plans, specifications, and estimates for the project; 11. Assistance with bidding including responses to requests for information and preparation of any necessary addenda, bid opening, bid analysis, bid tabulation, and recommendation to award; 12. Phase III engineering services for inspection, supervision, material testing, certification, documentation, complete and submit final measurements, calculations, field books, and all other contract documents to the City. |
