San Antonio Zoo Entry

AS of February 2, 2023, construction is underway. Construction commenced in November, 2022, and is expected to be completed in November, 2023. No further inquiries to be accepted. The purpose of the Project is to improve the guest experience entering the Zoo. The existing zoo entry site currently has a retail and staff office building that functions as the entrance and exit to the zoo. This building will be demolished and replaced with a new construction with similar functions. The upper level will include the addition of outdoor event roof terraces. The existing guest paths at the entry will be regraded to meet ADA regulations. Work included are demolition, excavation, grading, concrete, structural steel, metal stairs and railings, stone masonry veneer, rough carpentry, architectural woodwork, waterproofing, insulation, membrane roofing, sheet metal roofing and flashings, doors, windows, gypsum board, Portland cement plaster, tiling, resilient flooring, carpet, wall coverings, painting, exhibits and graphics, toilet compartments and accessories, mercantile equipment, elevator, paving, fences, and landscaping. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
