Description | Tremont Borough will accept separate sealed Bids for the Tremont Borough Pine Street Bridge Project, Contract 2022-06 Each Contract will be awarded separately.Each Contract Bid should be in a separate sealed envelope. The Pine Street Bridge Project consists of construction of approximately 54 LF of reinforced concrete retaining walls and appurtenances, stone masonry repointing and repairs, stream diversion and restoration. The Union Street Bridge Project consists of construction of approximately 26 LF of reinforced concrete retaining walls and appurtenances, concrete underpinning, steel repairs, installation of riprap, stream diversion and restoration. Bids must be sealed in separate envelopes, addressed to the Borough and clearly marked, "Bid for Tremont Borough Pine Street Bridge Project, All requests for information may be made in writing to John R. Poff, PE at jpoff@light-heigel.com. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to or naming as Obligee Tremont Borough in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the Bid as a guarantee that in the case the Contract is awarded the successful Bidder will execute the Contract and furnish all Bonds as may be required. The Bid for the Work must be sealed in an envelope and addressed to: Light-Heigel & Associates, Inc. c/o John R. Poff, PE 950 East Main Street, Suite 204 Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 The Contract is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate minimum wage rates must be paid by the contractor for performance of all necessary work. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. The contractor shall also comply with Act 127 of 2012. Tremont Borough is funding these projects through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding and as such these Contracts are subject to the Federal Requirements listed in the Contract Documents. Tremont Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or bidding irregularities, to delete or reduce any Bid Item, and to award the Contract(s) as may be deemed by Tremont Borough Council to be in their best interest. No Bidder may withdraw his or her Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. s liquidated damages the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day |
