The Contractor shall furnish along with the required number of copies of the Contract duly signed by him, two (2) originals of Performance and Payment Bonds, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. Bonds shall be properly issued and executed by a Surety licensed in the State of Virginia and acceptable to the County. Cost of Bonds shall be included in the total estimated Bid Price. The Performance Bond shall remain in effect for one (1) year after final acceptance. The cost of obtaining Bonds shall be included in Summary of Unit Bid Prices under the item for Mobilization. Prince William County Procurement Regulations, the County reserves the right to reject any bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids, which are, in consideration, in the best interest of the County.
