Description

Shingle remove and replace: Removal and disposal of all wood shingles on 3 sides of the rear ell of the house, the rear of the carriage house, and the back portion of the main house. Clean up and removal of waste of property is a must in order to maintain a safe and neat professional appearance. Magnet rollers to pick up any loose nails a must. A vapor barrier to be added (Tyvek or felt paper) for application underneath all the new shingles. All shingles to be grade “A” red cedar shingles that match the dimension of the existing shingles and course layout to be closely replicated as far as existing shingle spacing. Any drip edge missing above windows or doors to be added. Any drip edge above windows and doors in poor shape to be replaced with new Trim and fascia repair: ?Removal and disposal of old gutter on rear ell and downspouts. ?Repair of angled crown molding on fascia to match the intact original look and joinery of this molding. ?Matched joinery of outside corner of crown molding to existing fascia where existing gutter is cut square and capped. Repair of wood work on inside corner where ell meets main house and ties into kitchen window. No space remaining open for birds, or animals to enter. Preparations for hardware sufficient to hold and accommodate future gutter system. Any trim work repaired or replaced to be painted white with two coats of white paint to match existing trim work. Cleanup and disposal of all wood, nails, gutters, downspouts and any and all construction debris used or accumulated during this project.
