RFQ - IL 7 from 131st St to 135th St, Phase III Project

Job No. C-91-325-19, IL 7 from 131st St to 135th St, Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 25% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on August 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the above subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, Full HMA pavement reconstruction of IL-7 from 500 feet South of 135th Street to 131st Street, roadway alignment shift 16 feet west and 1.8 feet above existing profile, HMA resurfacing and widening of IL-7 500 feet North of 131st Street, class D pavement patching, culvert replacement, traffic signal modernization, ditch grading and realignment of Mill Creek, drainage improvements, detention basin, ADA improvements, shareduse path and sidewalk along IL-7, retaining wall, RR Flagger use, as well as all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described herein. The following structures may be in this project: o S.N. 016-1396: Existing Box Culvert along East side of IL-7 to be removed o S.N. 016-0898: Existing Box Culvert under 131st Street at IL-7 o S.N. 016-3941: Proposed Box Culvert under East leg of 135th Street at IL-7 o S.N. 016-0933: Proposed Dual Box Culvert under 131st Street at IL-7 o S.N. 016-8351: Proposed Culvert under Driveway along IL-7 o S.N. 016-8352: Proposed Culvert under Driveway along IL-7 The anticipated construction completion date is October 31, 2024. The Consultant must complete and submit final measurements, calculations, and final contract records documents to the department no later than six (6) weeks after the completion of the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS). The firm acting as the prime must be prequalified in all the prequalification categories requested in the project advertisement even if they plan to subcontract part of the project, except where noted in a specific project advertisement. Any work being done by a consultant, prime or sub must be prequalified in the IDOT prequalification category of work they are performing.
