Sealed bids will be received for Multiple Prime Construction Contracts by the Cedar Falls Community School District for the: Cedar Falls High School Natatorium The project consists of construction of a new 37,000 SF natatorium building and associated site development directly adjacent to new high school (swimming pool and seating scopes of work will not be bid at this time). Separate lump-sum bids will be received for: Bid Package No. 03-1P - Concrete Foundation, Interior Concrete Slab, Concrete Polish & Floor Coatings Work Bid Package No. 04-1P - Unit Masonry Work Bid Package No. 05-1P - Precast Concrete, Structural Steel, Joist, Deck & Metal Fabrication Work Bid Package No. 06-1P - General Construction, Flooring, and Elevator Work Bid Package No. 07-2P - Metal Wall Panel, Flashing, & Decorative Metal Work Bid Package No. 07-3P - Membrane Roofing Work Bid Package No. 07-4P - Applied Fire Protection Work Bid Package No. 08-1P - Entrance, Storefront, Curtainwall, & Glazing Work Bid Package No. 09-1P - Gypsum Board Assemblies, Acoustical Treatments, & Ceilings Work Bid Package No. 09-7P - Paint & Coating Work Bid Package No. 21-1P - Fire Suppression Systems Work Bid Package No. 22-1P - Plumbing & HVAC Work Bid Package No. 26-1P - Electrical, Communications, & Electronic Safety and Security Work Bid Package No. 31-1P - Site Demolition, Earthwork & Landscaping Work Bid Package No. 32-1P - Paving & Sidewalk Work Bid Package No. 33-1P - Site Utilities Work All work and equipment is to be in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents on file with the Board Secretary, which are by this reference made a part of this notice as though fully set out and incorporated herein All in accordance with the plans and specifications on file, at Cedar Falls Community School District Administrative Offices, as of the date of the contract documents. Bid Bond: Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or certified credit union share draft in a separate envelope in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. See Division 00 Section "Instructions to Bidders" for additional information and full description of bid bond requirements and process Bids will be received under separate contracts as outlined in the bid-package descriptions listed above. Bids will only be accepted for the above listed bid packages. Separate contracts will be awarded for each Bid Package, and combined bids will not be accepted. Sealed bids previously received for such Project will be presented to and considered by the School Board of Directors on September 26, 2022. Proposals received will be acted upon at such time and place or at such later time and place as may then be fixed by the Board of Director Payment of the cost of the project will be made in cash from such fund or funds of the Owner as may be lawfully used for said purpose. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and/or produced within the State of Iowa, and preference will be given to Iowa domestic labor as provided in the Code of Iowa. Submit questions about bidding documents to INVISION Architecture or Story Construction Co. by August 31, 2022. Oral clarification will not be binding unless it is documented in writing via addendum.
