Description | BID PACKAGES: 6.2 Casework and Millwork 8.8 Aluminum, Glass & Glazing 9.6 Floor Covering 9.9 Painting 31.1 Earthwork PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project has two components: (1) interior renovations to Concord high school and (2) elementary site and playground renovations. Renovations in the high school consist primarily of new casework and aluminum glazed openings. There are some other minor architectural modifications and new finishes. The elementary sitework includes removal and replacement of asphalt parking lots and concrete pavement, as well as playground improvements. PROJECT SCHEDULE: June 2023 - August 2023 (a detailed schedule included with bid documents) BID BOND: Is Required. Bid bond or certified check of not less than 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with bid and made payable to The CSM Group, Inc. PREVAILING WAGE: This is not a prevailing wage project. FAMILIAL RELATIONSHIP DISCLOSURE: All proposals shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack of a relationship) that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Kalamazoo Public Schools or the Superintendent of the School District. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized disclosure statement. IRAN ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ACT: Additionally, each bid shall be accompanied by a disclosure statement indicating that they have not been doing business with companies having ties with the country of Iran in accordance with the Iran Sanctions Act. BIDDERS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Submission cut-off date is January 25, 2023, 3:00 PM. A fillable RFI form is located on the CSM Group plan room. Typed RFIs are to be submitted to andrea.hempsted@csmgroup.com. TYPE OF CONTRACT: The base bid shall be a lump sum amount, for the work as set forth in the bid documents. CONTRACT SECURITY: Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for all awarded contracts in excess of $50,000 and the cost of these bonds is to be included in your base bid. All packages less than $50,000 must state, as an alternate, the cost of providing Payment and Performance Bonds. RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, alternates, or proposals, and to accept bids, alternates, or proposals that, in its sole judgment, serve its best interests. *Please see the attached Addendum 001 and Addendum 002. *Please see attached Clarification #4. \ *Please see attached RFI 032 and RFI 033. *A few things to note: All bidders must submit a bid for a Bid Package in its entirety.
